Captains Day Dinner
Honouring the outgoing and incoming captains with a night of laughter, reflection, and camaraderie
The clubhouse was buzzing with energy on Saturday evening as members of the HowDidiDo Launch Club came together to mark one of the most anticipated events of the golfing calendar — the Captains Day Dinner. With tables dressed to impress and spirits high, the evening was a fitting tribute to a year of sporting achievement and community spirit.

Outgoing Captain Connor Warburton delivered a heartfelt speech, reflecting on a year filled with memorable moments, competitive matches, and the unwavering support of club members. He expressed gratitude to the committee, volunteers, and members who made his tenure so rewarding.

The ceremonial handover to the incoming Captain Zak Taylor was met with enthusiastic applause. In his inaugural address, the new Captain shared his vision for the year ahead, promising to build on the club’s strong foundations while introducing fresh ideas to engage members of all ages and abilities.

Guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal, followed by entertainment that had everyone on their feet. Awards were presented to standout performers from the season, with special recognition given to those who went above and beyond in supporting club activities.

The evening was a testament to the enduring spirit of the HowDidiDo Launch Club — a place where golf is more than a game; it’s a community. As the night drew to a close, members raised a toast to the past year’s successes and the exciting season ahead.
