CTC Cruise to win
Mullion proves happy hunting ground
On Sunday, the County winter knockouts continued and it was the turn of the CTC team who travelled to Mullion to take on St Austell. Ethan Tempest & Jordan Musitano were first match out and managed to half their match. As it turned out, that would be the only half point that St Austell would win.
Matt Richards & Alex Glasson won 4&3, Rob Lewis & Jack Kevern won 7&6, Jamie Winfield & Ross Lawrance won 5&3 and with 9th man, Steve Barns winning 5&4, the score leading into the afternoon singles was 4.25-0.5.
It was a clean sweep in the singles with wins for Lawrance (3&2), Musitano (1up), Lewis (4&3), Richards (5&4), Tempest (3&2), Glasson (5&4), Kevern (3&2) and Winfield (6&5). The final result was therefore 12.25-0.5 and the next round will be against the winners of Truro and Trevose and is scheduled to be played on 16th November.
