On a lovely Autumn day with very little wind and the course again in excellent condition, 41 teams took part in the Pairs Texas Scramble. It was tight at the top with 2 teams finishing on 62 but a birdie on the 18th helped Alan Nugent and Jonathan Douglas (65-3) take top spot thanks to their back 9 of 29. Alan and Jonathan had gross birdies on 3,4,10,12,15 and 18. Well played lads. Also on 62 was the team of David and Willie Heeps (65-3) who shot one more birdie but a bogey at 16 proved costly coming back in 30 shots.

A shot back in third place on 63 was the team of Graham Irvine and Kai Murdoch (69-6) finishing a shot ahead of Andrew Johnston and Jorgen Vatn (73-9). Graham and Kai had gross birdies on 4, 14 and 16, their only bogey coming at 13. 3 teams finished on 65.

A special mention to Ross Murdoch for his hole in one at the 15th. Well done Ross.
