Junior Championships
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October
The Royal Jersey Junior Championships were played over 36 holes on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October in challenging conditions with a stiff North Easterly breeze on each day.
Jacob Townsend continued his excellent form and deservedly won the Trophy with rounds of 73 and 76 for a total of 149. Second was Junior Captain Ben Carvalho with rounds of 76 and 80 total 156 and third was Aiden Wilson with 78 and 81 total 159.
Players with handicaps of 18 and below played from the white tees. William Stratford was lowest nett score with a total of 144 from Oliver Bourke with 145.
Tom Langan had a total nett score of 140 in the over 18 handicap group who played from the yellow tees. He was followed by Albert Whitchurch on 144 and Gus Langan on 145.
