New Members
Meet & Greet and Challenge Cup
It was a busy weekend for our new members with a Play, Meet and Greet event on Saturday for our (New) new members and the final deciding round of the New Members Challenge Cup on Sunday.

The meet and greet started in the clubhouse with introductions over a coffee and fresh muffins thanks to Tracey from The Crown. Club Captain Brian Rooney stood in to host a team after a late call off and despite carrying an injury guided his team victory by a single point reflecting the high quality golf on display.
It was really good to have one of our new lady members join us and play the full round.
After the match it was time for some soup and the prizes.

Thanks to Brian and Cynthia Tuckerman for their support as hosts, Stuart Houlden our Pro for the golf glove prizes and to Sharon in the office for helping set up the event.

**New Members Challenge Cup**
15 competitors took part in the last Challenge Cup of the year and some excellent scoring/late charges towards overall victory. Gordon Ireland won on the day with 36 stableford points, a score matched by Colin Higgins with David Findlay in 3rd place on 34 points. There were no Lucky 2's recorded and the prize money for the top 3 players will be added to their accounts in the Pro Shop.

In terms of the Overall Competition this years winner based on combined points from any 3 rounds is Colin Donnelly with 109 points. Huge congratulations to Colin who has been leader in the clubhouse since the start with an impressive 38, 38 and 33 points recorded over the first 3 months. The trophy will be presented at the Club Prizegiving in November.
Runner up is Graham Irvine with 106 points.
In 3rd place was Kai Murdoch an 104 points.
There was then a tie for 4th on 103 points for Kevin Cogan and David Findlay.

There have been 34 new members who have taken part in this event over the summer. This is a great opportunity for new members to play with likeminded people who have also recently joined the club.
