Update to Preferred Lies Model Local Rules
Model Local Rules E-2 & E-3 are now in use
After the significant rainfall today with immediate effect TWO Model Local Rules are in use until further notice.
Model Local Rule E-2 is available to all players when their ball lies in the general area, i.e. not on a fairway or closely mown area and not in a penalty area. You may mark, pick, clean & REPLACE your ball on its ORIGINAL spot with no penalty. Penalty for breaching the rule i.e. not replacing the ball on the same spot, is a 2 stroke penalty for each breach.
As before Model Local Rule E-3 is also available to all players when their ball lies on a closely mown area (fairway & fringe). You may mark, pick, clean & place your ball within 6 inches not nearer the hole with no penalty.
The H&C Committee ask all players to ensure the rules are followed precisely and playing partners should check especially when relief using MLR E-2 is taken to ensure the ball is REPLACED on its ORIGINAL spot.
