Bunkers
Bunkers -
You will all be aware that over the last couple of years we have invested significantly on the bunkers around our course. To continue to realise the value of this investment it is crucial that all members play their part in maintaining these bunkers during their rounds, by raking them in the correct way once you have played from them. Unfortunately, we have several instances where players have been witnessed not raking the bunkers. This is not only devaluing the investment we have placed in our bunkers it is disrespectful to other players who may have to play from these un-raked bunkers!!

We also have members of the public who walk across our course and do not keep to the public footpaths and think it’s is acceptable to allow their dogs to “play” in the bunkers. Whilst we cannot prevent this all of the time, we are looking into placing signs in certain places on the course, requesting the public not to let their dogs roam across our course. However, if you see a bunker that has been trodden in, please consider giving it a quick rake, so that other players do not have to suffer a disrupted bunker!!

The green staff will endeavour to rake the bunkers as often as time permits - but they cannot be the only ones to do this - we all have a responsibility to ensure that our course (including bunkers) is kept in as good a condition as possible.

We have a fantastic golf course, that visitors often comment on as being one of the best they have played, if we wish to maintain this high standard, all members young - old, new or long standing, all have to play a part in keeping it this way.

Our final ask, is that you do not think this note does not apply to you, as you always rake the bunkers - if everyone is of that view, then our bunkers would always be raked - which they are clearly not - so please take on onboard the issues we have raised and play your part in keeping our course in as good a condition as possible.
