The Open 2026 - Royal Birkdale
Marshalling & Hole Controller Roles
Members will no doubt be aware that The Open returns to Royal Birkdale in 2026 (12 - 20 July).
As a Club, we have said we are wanting to be involved with marshalling duties as we have done previously. When details of this are available, then we will distribute for people and start asking for volunteers.
In the short term, we have been asked to put forward Hole Controllers for the event. We have already had some interest in doing this by some previous incumbents but if there are any other members who would be interested in putting their name forward to Council to take on a Hole Controller or Deputy role at this event, please let the club know by Friday 12 September 2025.
