July Course & Bunker Update
The bunkers continue to be problematic during this hot and dry period. Greens, tees and approaches continue to be the priority for irrigation, which means we are not able to water the bunkers as much as we would like. The sand in our bunkers performs poorly when dry, it compacts underneath and the loose sand on top moves about very easily resulting in inconsistent sand levels. The bunker rake trial has been completed with the results inconclusive due to the dry conditions. The little rakes have now been returned to all bunkers. After raking your footprints, please return the rake to the bunker with the whole rake inside the bunker, pointing towards the flag as in the picture below.
