With holidays and other social events I have lost time and therefore a slightly late captains Corner.
Club matches saw the Millbrook win against Sharnbrrok at Home and lose to a very handy Leighton Buzzard side away , I am told that all the games were very competitive and could have gone any way.
July sees one match against Chalgrave away where you are assured of a hearty breakfast ! the poll is still open.
It would appear that other sections within the club have had mixed results but always competitive.
And congratulations to all winners throughout the month.
My charity is fast approaching and with the weather we have been having we are praying for rain but I hope that day stays fair!! The organisation that goes into these days is immense and I thank the amazing team that have helped to date you know who you are.
My I thank all those members that have already given significant support to the day through tee sponsorship and prizes , I am humbled by the continued support on this front and so are the charity who are blown away by the sums raised already. Obviously please keep giving! The 19th July is not a long way away now and even if you are not able to play come and join us for Mexican and trad fish and chips , a healthy raffle plus a well-supported Auction that you will be able to provide early bids for. Finishing off the night with The Authentics who will be proving the evening entertainment along with a very own Hardeep spot.
I am hoping it will be a memorable day and evening enjoyed by all.
The Friday BBQ’s have now started and I am told that the first went very well , see you at the next.
The summer draw was well supported and congrats to all the winners.
Just a reminder as well that 100 club still has numbers available and as the old saying goes “ you have to be in it to win it”.
You may have seen publicity surfacing for my captains day out to Princes in Kent , quite a trek but we hope that it will be a great day out with some laughs and maybe some half decent golf! This is on the 30th August and Tom Skinner is putting in some hard yards to make it a great day. Billed as a Jolly Boys Outing , but we do need to confirm numbers soon. There is a sign up sheet at the club.
Have a great July and I hope to get to play Golf or have a beer with you over the month.
