Tolly 1/4 final
“To tough for Tolly”
The Tolly stalwarts travelled to Thorpeness for their Quarter final match in this years competition and with our opponents playing their 3rd consecutive home match we knew it was going to be tough when 3 of our 4 pairings were giving shots to their team on their own track. The more boys battled well but with Thorpeness knowing the greens a lot better than our boys the putts were dropping for them and missing for us, A morning deficit of 8 down wasn’t too bad and we believed we could turn this around in the afternoon however with one change made it was the same old story with no luck on the putting greens and the team ended up 5 down for a total deficit of 13 down on the day. The lads have represented the club in a fair and friendly manner and never looked like throwing the towel in and it’s been an honour to be part of this bunch of misfits. The camaraderie amongst the team has been the best in my 4 years of involvement with the Tolly team and if I’m able and required would be happy to be part of this next year.
