Andy Marshall on the Legends Tour in Greece
Struggled to make putts!
Andrew Marshall Shows Grit and Class at Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy

The sun-drenched coastline of Costa Navarino in Greece played host to some of the game’s greats this past week during the Legends Tour Trophy. Among them was Andrew Marshall, whose performance quietly turned heads—even if the putts refused to fall.

For Marshall, it was a week of ball-striking brilliance and mental resilience. After battling through the early rounds, he found his groove over the final 36 holes, delivering a striking display of consistency from tee to green. In his own words:

> “Played great last 2 days, 33/36 greens hit, just not holing any putts. Very frustrating.”

It’s a line every golfer at every level can relate to—doing everything right but watching good chances slip by. Yet, despite the putting woes, Marshall still managed to finish the tournament under par. That kind of result, on a testing and world-class layout like Costa Navarino, is no small feat.

When I caught up with Andy after the round, his comment was short and telling:

> “Golf is hard buddy, just remember that.”

It’s the kind of dry, honest assessment that says more than paragraphs ever could. Because golf is hard. And yet, Marshall made it look deceptively easy in spells—threading fairways, flagging approach shots, and giving himself chance after chance. On another week, those same putts drop, and we’re talking about a podium finish or better.

The Legends Tour is where seasoned professionals prove they’ve still got what it takes—and Marshall did exactly that. His ball-striking was up there with the very best in the field, and it’s only a matter of time before his putting clicks into gear to match the rest of his game.

There’s something inspiring about watching a player grind, stay composed, and walk away under par even when the scorecard doesn’t reflect just how well they played. For Andy, this week wasn’t about trophies or headlines—but about building momentum and showing just how dialed-in he still is.

If the flatstick starts cooperating, don’t be surprised to see his name at the very top before long.

Well played, mate. Golf is hard—but you made it look pretty impressive out there.
