Gents Championships Semi Final Results
Out finalists are now known
Last night saw the playing of the semi-finals of the Gents Club & Handicap Championship matches.
In slightly less windier conditions than earlier in the week, the links still provided that firm test for the players.
In the first semi-final, John Shanks continued his quest with a 5&4 win over Jack Thomas.
It was a closer affair in the second semi-final with George J Roberston overcoming Craig Adams 3&1 on the 17th.
The first match out in the Handicap Championship was Daniel Dempster v David McGuire. The 14th was the final hole of their match with David Winning 5&4.
The final match on course pitted Tom Craven against Sandy McLaughlin, with Tom winning convincingly on the back 9.

The finals lineup for tomorrow (Sun) is
Club Championship – John Shanks (1) v George J Robertson (2)
Handicap Championship – David McGuire (12) v Tom Craven (7)
The match between David and Tom will be played off scratch as their course handicaps are the same.
The matches will tee off at 08:00 and 08:15 respectively for their first rounds and we wish all players the best of luck. Do please come out to watch both matches, if you can, and lend all players your support.
