The Gents Championship week commences today with the playing of the Matchplay stages of the Club and Handicap Championships.

It all gets underway this evening with the Club Championship where John Shanks is looking to defend his title.

There are no fewer than 4 previous winners in the field this year alongside 7 previous winners of the Strokeplay championship. All which should add up to a great competition.

Last year's winner of the Handicap Championship, Mason Chisholm, has qualified for the big one this year and we wish him and everyone else well for the week.

The 2nd playing of the Handicap Championship for The Victory Cup starts tomorrow evening (03/06) with Jamie Bryant looking to go one better this year after being defeated in last year's final.

Sadly, we have had a couple of late withdrawals, so to minimise inconvenience and disruption to the draw, a couple of players have received a bye into the last 8.

Play gets underway after 4pm each evening and I know all the players would love to have your support out on the course.
