The Herkless Trophy Eden Course 6th & 7th May 2025
The Herkless Trophy is played for annually by ‘lady golfers of St Andrews’. It is a medal foursomes competition with 41 pairs competing this year; 21 from St Regulus, 19 from St Rule and one from the R&A. The weather was kind to us, although there was a bit of a chilly breeze.
We are delighted that the Herkless Trophy remains in St Rule as this year’s winners are Marion Todd & Fiona Steel, the Captain and Vice-Captain pair. St Regulus pairs were in second and third place; Penny Bateman & Louise McLaren and Martha Calfisch – Pimm and Elizabeth Dingwall respectively.
Sandra Tuddenham, Chair of the St Andrews Links Trust presented the trophy to Marion and Fiona on Wednesday evening in the St Rule Club with additional prizes for the winning 3 pairs from the Links Trust. Sandra reminded us that whether we played well or played not as well as we had hoped, that we were in a wonderful position to be playing our golf in St Andrews.
