Ladies Mixed Spring Open
Diss win 1st Place
On Saturday 18th the ladies hosted their second Open of the year. It was a strange day weather wise, but soon the sun stayed out and a blue sky remained with our infamous light winds.

We had 68 players visit from17 clubs. A great atmosphere as always.

There were many compliments about the course, so Danny and team, please be proud and many thanks for ensuring the course was a delight to play.

These events do not happen without a lot of hard work and so I would like to thank Janette for running the event so smoothly with the assistance of Jan. To Ladies President Anne for running a very successful raffle for my club fundraiser for an On Course Toilet. To Lisa and Chris with the support of Vera and Jackie for running the halfway hut, to Jane for looking after the visitors and making them feel so welcome. Thank you to my husband, Seniors Captain Colin for being our starter and for helping Janette with the results. To Jackie for arranging the beautiful flowers and to Martin Bullen for changing his plans and assisting when needed. To those that kindly donated bottles for our raffle. To the catering staff for providing a wonderful meal of fish and chips after the golf, and to Julie in the bar. To John and Jane for assisting in the office. Finally, not forgetting Rosemary Hodgkin, who very kindly loaned us her buggy. So, as you can see, we had a great team for which I am extremely thankful.
