We have spraying contractors on the course this week to control daisies, dandelions and clover in particular. This will include the whole area of the golf course, footgolf course and driving range and is something we do every year or two to reduce broad-leaf weeds which can out-compete grass. We do this when they are in flower as it catches them in peak growth but before going to seed.

The grass is growing like crazy and your greenkeeping team is working hard to keep it cut which maintains good light and air levels near the ground to promote new growth to improve the sward (which translates to your golf ball sitting up better in the general areas). You may also notice changes to the definition of fairways, first cut rough, and development of run-off areas behind greens to improve the look of the course and your enjoyment of playing it.
