Juniors Match vs Royal Mid Surrey (away)

We played our inaugural junior inter-club match against the auld enemy, Royal Mid Surrey earlier this week. It was a 4-Ball Better Ball format, that fielded our new Junior Captain, Charlie Linch leading a team of 8, ranging in age from 17 down to 10 years.

Some really impressive golf was played by both sides, with surprisingly booming drives, and many long-range putts sunk. The final result was an honourable draw with two wins and two losses. But most of all it was good fun, very sociable and a chance to play under a little more pressure than usual.
This bodes well for a growing junior section, and we invite anyone to come along and join in. We have big plans for the summer: a Summer Cup, a rematch vs RMS, other competitive club matches, and regular coaching clinics and roll-ups with the Club Pros.
