Advent Week Two
Members and Team...
So this Sunday, 17th December, is the third of advent and in the week leading up to it we have more off course news than on course. Whilst a couple of very wet days saw part closures, we fair much better than most, especially our friends at Royal Mud-Slurry. The news room is reliably informed that Les receives calls, from afore mentioned friends, asking him to be so kind as to close, as their team is getting in the neck from their members, as to why they are closed whilst we are always open! Ha!

Sadly that didn’t help the ladies Turkey Trot on Tuesday as, then, we were actually closed. There was blue sky, but no golf. The ladies turned up in their best Christmas costumes (there was a best team costume) and met for coffee, Baileys, stollen cake, Christmas games, secret Santa pressie giving and lots of chat.

Much festive fun was had by everyone and the ladies wish all a very Happy Christmas

Rewind to last Sunday and the last of our splendid Christmas Lunches was served in the marque.

Very festively decorated...

and with a treat in store from the ladies choir.

On to Wednesday evening and it was the turn of the House, Admin and Ground teams to celebrate

We have had much “What went on at Kempton stays in Kempton”, when trying to get reports of the evening, but did manage to glean a few photos that are in this week’s mash-up vid

Thanks to the Ladies Choir, and sorry we only have the Cube Room recording, as the acoustics in there are not great - unlike your voices! Thanks to Gary Norman for pics from lunch and apologies from the news room for not being at liberty to divulge source of “staff do” images.

Great to see the club as a whole enjoying the festive season!

That’s All Folks!
