Christmas Fayre - Part I
A Welcome Window twixt the Frosts!
It was odds on yesterday that we would have a heavy frost at the club, but, despite the forecasts, we avoided that and play in the Christmas Fayre Stableford was on full greens. Today, however, we had another -4 degree morning and are on temporary greens.

Whilst very cold, the day was bright and conditions pretty good. A fair amount of sand on some fairways, but this is all an essential part of our winter maintenance programme, and didn’t detract from some good scoring.

Congratulation to James Culverwell on his victory with 41 points, winning on count back, with six pars coming home.

Charles Peerless was runner up, also on 41 and Bill Boucher, on 40, took the bronze.

The newsroom was a bit beg, steal or borrow on photographic content so thanks to James for his pic (with unidentified trophy)

Full results down to tenth as follows:

James Culverwell 41
Charles Peerless 41
Bill Boucher 40
Chris Lyons 39
Jeremy Glanville-Jones 38
Grant Elner 37
Imtiaz Arian 37
Michael Walter 37
Paul Rowe 36
Tim Lacey 36

Prize-giving will be as soon as possible, after play is completed on Saturday, for both this and Saturday’s events.  Saturday’s event has prizes up for grabs down to 15th place and there are still a couple of slots available late in the field.
