COMPETITION 'NO SHOWS'

Members not showing up or cancelling their Sunday reserved competition tees is becoming a real problem and has resulted in members being left as a single on the tee and members being left without either a partner or marker in pairs competitions.
This practice is inconsiderate and will not be tolerated.

With immediate effect, 'No shows' for reserved competition tees will be monitored closely and the following sanctions will be applied.

1st 'No Show' - A warning will be issued
2nd 'No Show' - A one week ban from entering Sunday Competitions
3rd 'No Show' - A two week ban from entering Sunday Competitions.
4th 'No Show' - A four week ban from entering Sunday Competitions.

We understand that sometimes 'Life Happens' so there will be an appeal process available through: handicapandcomp@leeparkgolfclub.co.uk

The system will continue throughout the year and will reset on January 1st annually when all misdemeanours will be wiped.

COMPETITION MONIES

All money collected from competition entry is held within the Handicap and Competitions account and does not get used by the Club.

This Committee uses the majority of the funds to pay out prize money in the form of either vouchers or credit to the winners Club Account. The prizes are set annually and equalised through the year. This may mean that some weeks we pay out less than is taken and some weeks we pay out more than is taken.
Any funds not used for prize money are utilised by this Committee for competition related events e.g. Buying Insurance for competition prizes for the Par 3 Challenge, providing food for some events such as the Charter Cup and subsidising events such as 'Presentation Night'. We also make a contribution towards Trophy Engraving and the writing of names on the Honours Boards.

As usual, if you have any questions, please contact us at handicapandcomp@leeparkgolfclub.co.uk

Good luck in the Par 3 Challenge on Sunday if you are playing. We really would love to see someone win the big £7,500.00 prize.
Best wishes
