Avoid disqualification
Follow these simple rules
A number of players in recent weeks have found themselves disqualified in competitions for either failing to sign in before play or failing to name their scorecard marker when entering their score online.

No-one wants to see players DQ’d so, to make sure it doesn’t happen to you, please just follow these simple rules.

If you are playing in any singles stroke play competition – Men’s, Ladies, Seniors or Juniors – you must sign in online before you play. The easiest way to do this is on a mobile phone using the HDID app, although you can sign in on a laptop before you leave home.

If you forget, and you try to sign in after you have completed your round, the scoring system will flag that up, your score will not count and you will be DQ’d.

Also, if you are playing in a singles competition, in addition to signing in before you play, as per the Rules of Golf, when you enter your score on your mobile phone at the end, you must select the name of your marker from the drop down menu so that they can verify your score if needed.

You should also enter your marker’s score alongside your own as you input the numbers.

If you do not select a marker, the scoring system will also flag that up and you will be DQ’d.

If you are playing in a pairs or team event, starting from July 16 (Captain’s Day), one player from your team must sign the team in on a PSI unit in either the Pro Shop or the Sports Bar prior to play, but only one player from the team needs to enter the score at the end, also via either of the two PSI units.
