ESN scratch team suffered a disappointing 7-5 defeat to Willingdon Golf Club at the weekend.
Wins from Dan Burchell & Tom Aye-Moung and Lee Drew & Steve Graham secured a 2-2 lunchtime score.
ESN required 4 1/2 points in the afternoon singles , but could only get 3 wins from Dean Plant, Pete Walker (pictured) & Steve Graham.
They now go into the draw for the plate for 1st & 2nd round losers.
