Ladder success for Lee Sexton & Mark Earley
Thrilling Final win for Sexton
Lee Sexton won his first major trophy at East Sussex National in a thrilling final, winning on the 20th hole.

After 16 rounds of winter competition the final was decided with a birdie on the 2nd extra hole. Rob Thompson (winner in 2018) was 1 down playing the 18th , but a superb drive and iron shot to within 15ft gave him a chance to square the match, but his putt agonisingly missed , which left Lee Sexton a 10ft putt for the win, but his effort stayed out , so the pair went into extra holes. Thompson looked favourite to win on the 1st extra, but Sexton produced a great up & down from a difficult position to stay in the game. Roles reversed up the 2nd as Sexton had a shot, a solid par nett birdie sealed the victory.

Marcus Opoku finished 2nd as he beat Lee Drew with Rob Thompson in 3rd.

Mark Earley won the Mike Orminston Trophy for the league by 3pts.
