The Balmore Open Texas Scramble was held today in mixed but mainly fine weather with the course and hospitality once again attracting praise from our many visitors and guests.

The winners were Gordon Blair, Craig McFarlane, Mel Cowan and Mark Hamilton from Balfron with a terrific nett score of 49.8. They win vouchers of £75 each.

Narrowly beaten into second place with a score of 51.0 were Alan Anderson (Old Ranfurly), Stewart McNeill (Helensburgh) and James Walker and Douglas Turnbull (both Paisley) who win vouchers of £50 each.

Remaining prizewinners as follows:

3rd - Dean Clelland, Robin Kennedy, Frank Divers and David Kennedy from Kilsyth with a score of 51.2 - vouchers of £30 each.

4th - Chris Morrison, Laura Kennedy, Michael Kennedy and James McCreadie from Lochview with a score of 51.3 - vouchers of £25 each.

5th - Andy McDonald (St Andrews), John Anton (Carnoustie) and Kenny Scotland and Nicholas Reid (both Craigie Hill) with a score of 52.7 - vouchers of £20 each.

6th - Michael Donaldson, Steven Donaldson, Robert Kerr and Scott Milne with a score of 52.8 - vouchers of £15 each.
