UPCOMING GREENS MAINTENENCE
Our greens renovation work was scheduled to start on the 28th March. However, under the guidance of Greg Evans this has been brought forwards to Monday the 14th.
We will be issuing a 10mm tine to all greens with a medium sand dressing applied afterwards. This process will then be followed with a further micro-tining and medium sand dressing the week commencing the 28th.
This process aims to improve the greens surfaces ahead of the upcoming season.
With the Greens Maintenance commencing, there may well be a few temporary greens in play whilst our greens staff conduct the essential work.
MARCH HARE & CAPTAINS DRIVE IN
If you haven't already signed up to the March Hare and you would like to, you can do so via the Club V1 Members Hub. Head to 'booking', then select the March Hare & Captains Drive In. You are also welcome to sign up in the Pro Shop or office.
Please enter the zone available and then playing partners will be drawn at random with High/Low Handicap. If you've entered after the 88 spaces are filled you'll be placed on a reserve list.
The event is available to Men and Women, there will be 2 groups of Ladies off two tees for the women. The entry fee is £5pp.
Format: 18 Hole 4BBB Stableford (pairs) competition. 85% Course Handicap allowance. Those entering will be divided into high and low handicaps and pairings shall consist of a player from each group. Each pair will be allocated a starting tee.
Prizes: There will be separate prizes for the Male and Female entries. Prizes will be reflective of entry fee's received.
Handicap Restrictions: No Restrictions (unless a Junior Member).
Breakfast will be available from 7:30am (5 items for £5).
Your incoming Captain will be treating each entrant to a complimentary Lasagne following the round. Please indicate when entering the competition if you'd like to stay around for some food.
MEMBERSHIP REFERRAL PROGRAMME
Do you have a friend, neighbour or family member who plays golf?
Introduce a new intermediate, 5 or 7 day member before the 1st of May to receive £100 on your membership card to enjoy on food and beverage.
To refer a new member, please email golf@wykegreengolfclub.co.uk with the relevant persons name, phone number & email address. Please ensure you have the persons consent before sending over their contact information.
