44 Players attended this morning

Former Champion , Jon Stern suffered a shock defeat to Homi ' the Persian Prince' Falak , the much fancied Stern found himself one down playing the last and all hopes of taking the match into extra holes vanished as Homi hit his 5-wood to within a foot for a match winning birdie on the long 18th.

The absence of Karl Nilchibar at no.2 opened the door for others and Nigel Southgate moved into 2nd with a one-hole win, Nigel is trying to emulate his son, Jordie who won the trophy back in 2018.

Ross White & Kim Horsted are timing their climb to the top well, sitting at no.3 & no. 5 respectively. Chris Watton is looking dangerous at No.9, but early leaders Sterling Wakefield now at 17th , Dougie Drummond at 31 & Stephen Bartlett at 27 are cut adrift.

The league standings see Homi a point clear.
