Letter from The Capatin
Letter to Members
Dear Members

I hope this message meets you all and your family`s well.

As we head into another Course Opening I am the bearer of some really good news.

A working party of Members headed by Dean Sheppard and Warren Whiteman have undertaken a complete refurbishment of the Practice Nets and safety net behind.

Take a look.....
before after

I am sure you will join me in thanking them for their hard work along with the working party that helped. The money raised from the 200 Club has been spent wisely on this, so once again thank you to all who have purchased numbers in the draw.

I would also like to say thank you to you all for coming back so promptly concerning the new WHS index, and I am pleased to say there are now only a handful of members who have either no index or don’t know what there index is, and this is being taken care of – if you have a problem email golfsec@wmm.org.uk

The course has taken a month of rest now , and of course it’s no secret that we are re opening on Wednesday. Can I respectfully remind every member to ensure they repair divots and pitch marks and take care of our Course. The team have worked hard over the break and have made repairs to bridges and put steps in on 6th tee to ensure your safety is of paramount importance. Please let’s repay that in doing our bit in maintaining our course, which I may add is looking very good for the time of the year we are in.

On another note regarding putting scores in towards your new WHS index, on a directive from England Golf, please refrain from putting cards in towards your index for the time being as the course is playing somewhat shorter than the measured length. A relevant notice will be put up in the Pro Shop indicating whether its ok to include a card from a round on any particular day.

Can I also please ask that if you do book a tee time on BRS and you cant make it for any reason to please cancel it out of the system or advise Tony if possible 24 to 48 hours before. This is to ensure that tee times that are booked and subsequently not required can then be released for other members to use.

See you out there, and may I wish you and your families a prosperous Festive Month

Happy Golfing
