Local Restrictions in the North of England
11th August 2020
The following guidance has been provided by England Golf regarding the impact of Local Restrictions in the North of England:

Who is affected?
• Golf clubs in affected areas – listed below
• Members of golf clubs living in affected areas, even where their golf club falls outside of the area

What are the changes?
• Clubhouses may remain open for food and beverage but must not permit people from affected areas from more than one household (or support bubble) to socialise and/or interact indoors

What remains unchanged?
Aside from those changes outlined above, no other changes to the guidance in England Golf's ‘Framework for Playing Golf’ are required.
This includes
• Playing of golf outdoors may continue in its current format
• Up to six different households may continue to interact with one another in outdoor areas
• Pro’s Shops may remain open with mandatory wearing of face coverings

Therefore:

Members from the Affected Local Areas
These members are not allowed to enter the Clubhouse except to use the toilet facilities until further notice. Bar and Catering service will be available on the Terrace only.

Members from Non-Affected Areas
Indoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to two households (including support bubbles) while outdoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to two households (or support bubbles), or a group of at most six people from any number of households.

Members Guests from Non-Affected Areas
Members who are not from the affected areas are able to bring their guests into the Clubhouse provided that their guests are also not from the affected areas.

Members Guests from Affected Areas
Members guests from Affected Local Areas must not use the Clubhouse except for the toilet facilities. Bar and Catering service may be undertaken on the Terrace only.

Visitors
Green Fee visitors from the affected areas are not allowed to enter the Clubhouse except to use the toilet facilities at this time. Bar and Catering service will be available on the Terrace only.

Open Competitions
Players in open competitions are not allowed to enter the Clubhouse except to use the toilet facilities at this time. Bar and Catering service will be available on the Terrace only.

Societies
Society visitors must supply the Club with all names and addresses of players in advance of the day of play. Organisers will be responsible for supplying these lists and any player who is from an Affected Local Area will not be able to enter the Clubhouse except for use of the toilets, and will be restricted to Bar and Catering services on the Terrace only.

Below is a list of the Affected Local Areas and we would ask members who are thinking of bringing guests that they consider where their guests are from and comply with the rules set out above. This is for all members and staff safety, and we trust that the membership will adhere to these simple directives and not put others at risk in these challenging times.

Thank you for your co-operation.
