Ash Rees is Champion again
Joshua Hayes wins the Silver Cup on countback
Ash Rees recovered after a poor round yesterday to win the Club Championship by 3 shots from Tom Foreman. Overnight leader Mark Hilton stumbled to a +5 round of 77 to leave the door open and 3 birdies in the closing 5 holes allowed Ash Rees victory.

On the 18th hole he hit a monster drive, leaving himself only a wedge, a cautious approach had too much spin and finished on the bottom tier, but the win was sealed with a 35ft winning birdie on the 18th.

Tom Foreman finished second with round of level par and Dean Plant shot the best of the weekend -3, 69 , but the former champion left himself too much do with an out of character, poor first round.

Phil Davy was unable to produce the brilliance of yesterday and lost out on both the gross and nett trophies. Joshua Hayes won the Sliver Cup with two -1 71's to win on countback from Ian Pagan who missed out by one shot.

Congratulations to both winners.
