A letter from your Gents & Lady Captain
Captains Letter
Greetings everyone,

Gini and I really hope this message finds you well. As the incoming Captains, today should have been the ceremonial Captain’s drive-in competition and dinner, where we would have gathered together and had fun. Whilst we are disappointed that this is not able to go ahead as planned, we are sending this message to let you know that we are thinking of you all during this time, when we will all have our personal challenges and sacrifices.

It seems it will be quite some time before we can get back to normal and enjoy each other’s company again. We are missing the place terribly, as we’re sure you are. When put into perspective however, we must all focus on remaining safe and well.

To support those in need in these difficult times, you might have seen, via social media, that the team at Ruddington Grange organised and sent 50 meals into the community, which makes us proud to be part of our lovely Golf Club.

We are sending this message to let you know that we want to do all we can (within current limitations) for our members and to offer help to anyone who may need it. I personally have some available time (as I am not playing golf!) to run errands, pick up groceries, whatever is necessary. I am sure that there are many of us that can help with these errands in the coming weeks, so please do not hesitate to ask.

We also hope you will be there to support the Club through your patronage to enable us to move back towards normality when the time comes and enable us to thrive again.

It’s imperative that we stick together and support each other and we look forward eventually to getting back to normal and socialising together. In the meantime, please stay safe and well.

Very best regards
Mike LaPare & Gini Whitehead

PS Don’t forget to put your clocks forward an hour tonight!
