The scratch won their quarter-final tie against a very strong Nevill team to move into the semi-finals, where we will play another strong team, Mannings Heath.

An impressive 6 1/2 to 1 1/2 singles win in the afternoon saw the team home, but it was very close in the morning with Nevill looking likely to take a lead into the afternoon. Defeats in matches 1 & 2 gave Nevill a 0-2 lead, but brilliant display of golf from Matt Hart & Mark Budd turned the morning around as the fired in 7 birdies in their foursome match.

Andy Larkin & Steve Graham came through in the back game to secure a much needed point to level the game.

The afternoon was dominated by East Sussex National , winning 6 of the 8 matches with an agreed half in the final match to flatter their afternoon score.

Steve Watts pictured was an impressive 5 & 4 winner over County player, Richard Leeves.

The semi-final against Mannings Heath is at Royal Eastbourne on Saturday 27 July. It would be great if the members could come along and support the team.
