The absence of current leader Judith Dingle meant that a victory for either Carol Baker (3*)or Christine Lyles (4*) would elevate them to 2nd place in the ladder and allow the winner between Jenny Forrest and Moria Lockyer move to first place. Carol won a close match that was packed with birdies, both players were -6 playing the 18th, when Carol won hit an 8-iron to 4ft for her 7th and match-winning birdie.
