Seniors Pre Season AM/AM
Monday 15th April greeted us with surprise adverse weather which largely disrupted our pre-season competition. We anticipated an early shower but from 7:00am we were met with heavy rain, hail, thunder & lightning and flash flooding and by 7:45am the course was closed. However, the storm quickly passed over and the course was re-opened 15 minutes before the first tee time and so the competition went ahead but the conditions remained very difficult and with more heavy rain and windy conditions, not everyone of the 51 players/13 teams completed the course.

Hence the prize winners’ scores were a lot lower than expected with first and second being decided on countback. Congratulations go to the winners: John Curtis, David McPheely, Kevin Whittle and Peter Chiaramonte with a score of 75 points.

On a personal note, many thanks to Andy Burton, Dave Beswick and Vernon Gubb together with David Mee and Hannah Jones for looking out for me in my hour of need!
