Jersey Golf Championship Foursomes
Succesful event for Royal Jersey!
The Royal Jersey Golf Club was well represented in the finals of the Championship Foursomes, sponsored by the Dolphin Hotel, held at La Moye over the weekend.
The scratch final was won by Matthew Parkman and Sam Quail who successfully defended their title with a one up win over fellow club members Kevin Therin and Richard Clarke. Matthew and Sam qualified in second place on Saturday with a round of 73 and defeated another Royal Jersey pair, Dan Burchell and Anton Swemmer, in the semi-final.
Kevin and Richard had qualified in first place on Saturday (72 gross) and defeated the strong La Moye pairing of Jeremy Phillips and Andrew Clarke in the semifinal.
In the handicap event the La Moye pairing of Bradley Kiberd and James Styles defeated Steve Pearson and Peter Garforth.
In the Ladies event, La Moye’s Juanita Adlington and Lily Buckley saw off Coran Hackett and Sarah Le Boutiller 4&3.
