We would also like to take the opportunity to ask members to encourage anyone who they think might be interested in joining the club to do so by contacting the club or by applying online through the new members portal.

Winter Rules:
Winter Rules are still in Play due to the soft nature of the course. Placing of the ball is permitted on all areas of the course.
Regular Updates on the Course Status is provided each morning by the Green Staff via the ClubV1 Golf App.
(If you do not have access to the App and these notifications for any reason please email the club at info@carrickgolfclub.net and we will help rectify this)

Open 9 Hole Stableford NQ Competition every Week Tuesday to Sunday with re-entry - €4 entry

To avoid unnecessary damage to the course we would ask members to use the paths where possible and avoid bringing golf trolleys to the aprons and front of the greens and onto Tee boxes.

Course Information:
We appreciate that we’ve had a lot of forced course closures due to the bad weather however the Course Committee Volunteers and the Green Staff continue to work on making improvements to the course as we look forward to better weather and the longer evenings ahead.

Please note that the 10th and 13th Holes will remain Par 3 Holes until the weather improves. The Hole indexes will remain as they are on the scorecard.

Work on the Back 9 Holes continues - this includes pruning and tinning out of trees, repair of GURs on 17th and 18th Holes which will mean these areas will be brought back into play on the course for the new golf season.

Further course improvements are also planned - we aim to improve course signage and to re-instate some of the pathways that unfortunately have fallen into disrepair.

The Mens 4th Tee has been re-located back to its original position and protective netting will be erected there.

A sanding and fertiliser programme is also planned for the Fairways.

Course Feedback and Members Questionnaire – we welcome and value feedback at any time on any course related matters however we plan to circulate a course questionnaire whereby members and visitors can give feedback on playing experience and where further curse enhancements can be identified.

Golf Buggies:
As we prepare for the new golf season ahead the club will need the availability of Golf Buggies for Hire.
The Club unfortunately hasn’t owned its own golf buggies for some time and we have been depending on the use of a few buggies that were provided by club members for which we are very grateful.
The Club is in the process of purchasing golf buggies and together with the buggies loaned by members we hope to have 6 Buggies available for hire when the course is open to buggies for the new season.

Buggy Hire for Visitors is €35 per round and for Members it is €20 per round.

Buggies must be booked and signed for in the clubhouse or reception office.

Any privately owned Golf Buggies stored at the Club for the 2024 season must be insured, in full working order and registered in the Clubhouse.

We would ask Members who have a Buggy stored presently or intend to store their own Buggy to ensure the above criteria are met otherwise we will have to remove the Buggy for insurance reasons

Green Fees
Green Fees for 2024 have been revised and are as follows:-
18 Hole Midweek round - €30
18 Hole Weekend Round - €35
(€5 Less if Playing with a Club Member)
Society Green fees to remain as they are for 2024

Youth Development, Junior Golf and Ladies get Into Golf Programme:
Sam Power, Golf Ireland Development Officer visited the Club recently and offered advice and support to assist the club with junior golf and ladies golf development. We hope to establish Sub-Committees to develop these areas and so we would ask any members who might have an interest in this area to let the committee know. We are depending on club volunteers to help promote, develop and recruit new members and these development programmes offer a good opportunity for new people to take up the game of golf which by extension will help sustain our club.

Reciprocal Arrangements with other Golf Clubs:

COS GC has the following Reciprocal arrangements in place with other Clubs which gives our members access to golf at the following courses:-

Club Debt:
