The Balmore Open Texas Scramble was held yesterday in mixed weather with the course once again attracting praise from our many visitors and guests, despite the high rainfall over the last few weeks.

With a terrific nett score of 49.1 the winners were Balmore members Callum Gracie and Alan Sweeney along with their two guests, William Riddell (Carrick) and Scott Gibb (Airdrie). They win vouchers of £75 each.

Narrowly beaten into second place with a score of 51.3 were David Galloway (Jnr & Snr), Stuart Ferguson and Gerry Smith (Haggs Castle) with a score of 51.3. They win vouchers of £60 each.

Lochview golfers Conor McAteer, John Aitken, Richard Turner and Luke Roberton had the same nett score of 51.3 but had the higher back 9 score. They win vouchers of £45 each.

Remaining prizewinners as follows:

4th - Phil Souter, Craig Watson, Paul Reilly & Gordon Jamieson (Jnr) with a score of 51.4 - vouchers of £30 each.

5th - Clober golfers Gary Mack, Gordon Maxwell, Gavin Roger & Sam Craig with a score of 51.6 - vouchers of £25 each.

6th - Willie Scally, Sammy Clingan, James McManus & Paul McManus with a score of 51.7 - vouchers of £20 each.
