Dan Burchell produced a brilliant +2, 74 over par round to win the Club Championship by 1 shot from overnight leader Dean Plant in blustery conditions and fast greens.

The turning point came on the par 5 , 10th hole when Dean went for the green in two from 220 yards and found the water for a double-bogey, Dan Burchell laid up and made birdie to grab a one shot lead.

The Championship was tied playing the last, both hit great drives with Dan playing first , a great iron shot to 10ft put the pressure on Dean, who's approach finish at the back of the green.

Dean hit a good chip down the hill to 9ft leaving Dan a putt for the Championship, his putt agonisingly missed.

Dean Plant then had his putt to tie and force a play-off, but it lipped out leaving Dan a tap in for the title.
